The Graduate visa is a one-time permission. When it ends you must leave or already hold another visa, so start looking for sponsoring employers well before your expiry date. The length of the Graduate route has been under review by the UK government — check GOV.UK for the period that applies to you.
If your current employer is happy with your work, ask whether they hold a sponsor licence or would consider applying for one. The role must still meet the Skilled Worker occupation and salary rules.
Skilled Worker salary thresholds and the list of eligible occupations were changed several times in 2024–2025. Some new entrants may qualify for a reduced threshold. We check the current figures for your occupation code before you accept an offer.
